Ready or not, here I come

Ready or not, here I come

Leaving breadcrumbs for myself

It's January 1st 2023, and I just decided to write. I think one thing that always holds me back from writing, is the "professional" in me wanting to always provide some form of value via the content I put out into the world. While sharing value is essential (to me), I think that it is not one-size-fits-all. Value can mean different things to different people; what I may think is not "value enough" might inspire someone to do something.

Thus and thus, I am letting go of my inhibitions to do seemingly simple things and committing to taking baby steps as much as I can this January. I will also do my best to practice doing instead of thinking of doing. The thought doesn't count here, the action does.

I started my day by sticking with hard things and it's paying off already. I learned to use Notion for something really technical today, and I feel like a million bucks. Learning is so exciting and I really look forward to learning a wide range of unfamiliar things in 2023, both digital and analogue.

I've been expanding my music taste lately and it is intriguing to listen to different sounds and explore new genres. I am definitely paying more attention to music this year. It feels like a magical blend of flavours.

Yes, this is the year I contribute to open source. I'm trembling at the amount of work that lies ahead but I'm revved up like a v12.

This is the most out-of-character article I've ever written but I am here for it!
